M.Y.O.B.'s cancellation wasn't a great thing. in 2000 proved to be a good thing for her, as she quickly landed the lead role in the T.V. show Gilmore Girls as Lorelai Gilmore. Graham's reputation as an actress is acknowledged and admired by producers and casting directors. Graham is nominated for numerous prizes, including her nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Award between 2000 and 2001, and the Golden Globe Award Best Actress for the TV Series 2002. Her most well-known role is'Angela Valdes as one of the major characters in the Starz's American Crime drama TV series Power. Lela began to develop an interest in acting after she was wrongly given acting courses in college and then eventually pursued acting as a profession. After a brief appearance in single episodes of the popular American television police procedural show Cold Case Miami & NY her appearance caught the attention of viewers. Then, she appeared in one episodes for several hit TV shows like The Shield NCIS and Lost. Her first big TV appearance was in H+ The Digital Series. The Hangover Part III starring Bradley Cooper and Snitch are one of her top Hollywood productions. Lela gained recognition after a long professional career in Hollywood, after she was cast in the role of Angela Valdes in the television series Power. This show helped propel her to the forefront and saw get her noticed.
